An Artist and a Builder

 

Odin’s vision for the future of his artwork is focused on the viewers’ interactions. He knows that it is not about what he creates, but more importantly, the experience it can inspire. He is currently working on kinetic sculpture to include a more dynamic quality to his creations…

 

History

 

Odin’s talent was discovered at an early age when he won a cash prize for first place in a drawing contest at the age of 4. Coming from humble beginnings, he developed his skills on the family homestead: from growing their own food to building their own house. Having been given his first tool set at the age of 10, Odin worked diligently to develop his skills, along with his creativity. That would launch him into a lifelong adventure…!

 

In school, academics came easily for him and he always welcomed a challenge. Odin simultaneously was a full time student, full time employee, played sports, joined clubs, practiced martial arts, helped run the family business, and volunteered for a non-profit all while continuing to create art.

 

While earning his blackbelt in aikido, and volunteering teaching children, Odin went from apprentice to journeyman. He then embraced the Burning Man community. It is rare that such a talented artist is also a career tradesman and Odin was happy to share his gifts! He lived and worked in many artist collectives and helped both personally and professionally with many events and projects where you can still see his influence to this day.

 

Having run several different businesses in the past, Odin decided to start his own, and ‘Masterworks by Odin’ was born. Soon afterwards, he was discovered by another small company that was just starting out. They recognized that Odin could make their dreams a reality.

 

Today

 

Odin helped to build their new company from the ground up. That earned him a partnership as the ‘Lord of Design and Production’ where he would oversee all future creative endeavors for Time Mission Inc.

 

The Future

 

Odin is grateful to have been blessed with the experience of many lifetimes; and even after decades, he would say that this is only the beginning! His dream is to grow Masterworks into a greater community of inspiring human creation. He will do this in the form of artist residencies, workshops, laboratories, sculpture parks, event spaces, mindbodyspirit practices, and more innovations yet to be discovered…!
